Student Thesis Film


We are casting for an upcoming student thesis film at Regis University (Colorado Film School). We will be working in conjunction with international award winning director Rahmin Bahrani (Man Push Cart, Chop Shop) to produce these very exciting senior projects.

Written by James Clark, Directed by Clifton Archuleta

Logline: In an effort to find safety and acceptance in his rundown Detroit neighborhood, an Arab teen wrestles with his own sense of morality as he attempts to assimilate into a group of local thugs.

Casting for the following PAID roles (ALL ETHNICITIES ENCOURAGED TO APPLY):

Male/16 – A petite, Middle Easter teen who has carried the weight of a missing father and foreign culture his whole life. He wants to find his niche in the world but needs to remain true to his core beliefs in order to be truly happy. (LD)

Male/21 – Strong, handsome, Middle Eastern leader of the thugs who acts like he thinks a man should. He finds pleasure in showing others the ropes. The driving force of the group that will destroy whoever threatens his position. (LD)

Male/18 – Asian teen who never misses the chance to crack a joke. As the newest addition to the group, he is still learning the ropes and quick to cross the line with the senior members. (CO)

Male/19 – Ego-driven, boisterous Caucasian teen who acts as the group's second in command. He rejects new additions to the group and takes every available opportunity to let them know that they do not deserve to be part of the crew. (CO)
