Saturday: Short action for the camera class

Master Combat Class: Fighting for Film
Saturday • 1-4pm • Dec 11
Denver Center Theatre Academy
13th & Arapahoe, Denver, CO
1 day • Dale Girard & Geoffrey Kent • $60
This class explores the fundamental skills needed to sell an unarmed fight for the camera. Using a camera and playback system, students will be able to use the video medium to see how techniques are practically applied, what works, what doesn’t, and why. Looking specifically at unarmed sequences for film, this class explores not only the safe way of executing these techniques, but also how the full body is engaged to convincingly communicate the cause and effect of these techniques to the camera. The session will end with the development of a short choreographed routine using the techniques covered in class, which will be taped and played back for review.
